1. Core Principles

  • Neutrality: We do not take political, military, or ideological sides. Our role is to inform, not to persuade.
  • Independence: We operate free of government funding, political patronage, or third-party editorial directives.
  • Accuracy: We prioritize verified information. When verification is not yet possible, we clearly label reports as unconfirmed.
  • Transparency: We disclose our methods, sources, limitations, and use of AI-generated content.

2. Source Verification

We apply a tiered verification framework:

  • Verified ✅: Information corroborated by at least two independent, credible sources (e.g., wire services, official government statements, established news organizations).
  • Partially Verified ⚠️: Information from a single credible source or corroborated by one additional source of lower reliability.
  • Unconfirmed ❓: Reports from social media, anonymous tips, or single-source claims that have not been independently verified. These are clearly labeled with "UNCONFIRMED" tags.

3. Labeling Unconfirmed Reports

Unconfirmed reports are published only when they are newsworthy and in the public interest. They are always:

  • Marked with a visible "UNCONFIRMED" or "DEVELOPING" label
  • Accompanied by a disclaimer noting the information has not been independently verified
  • Updated or corrected as new information becomes available (see Corrections)

4. AI-Generated & AI-Assisted Content

We use artificial intelligence to assist with content generation, summarization, translation, and analysis. AI-assisted content is:

  • Subject to human editorial review before publication when feasible
  • Labeled where AI played a significant role in content creation
  • Acknowledged as potentially containing factual errors — readers are encouraged to cross-reference with authoritative sources

AI tools are never used to fabricate quotes, create misleading imagery, or manipulate information.

5. Corrections & Retractions

We are committed to correcting errors promptly and transparently. Corrections are timestamped and logged on our Corrections page. Significant errors that materially alter the meaning of a report will result in an editor's note appended to the original article.

6. Advertising & Sponsorship

Advertising on this site is served through standard programmatic networks (e.g., Google AdSense). Advertising content is clearly separated from editorial content. We do not accept sponsored articles, "native advertising," or paid placements that could be confused with editorial content.
